Our Story
a calling to serve the nations
Suddenly Joyful Global Missions began with a calling God had been preparing D’Lorah Anderson for over many years. Long before missions became part of her story, D’Lorah served faithfully in ministry through Bible teaching, youth ministry, worship, jail ministry, church administration, and other areas of service.
In 2012, after years of ministry, she began sensing God’s call to missions. She responded by preparing through seminary studies in Practical Theology with a focus in Intercultural Studies and Missiology. Then, in 2013, she traveled to Ghana for the first time, where she encountered the village of Nyame Bekyere—“God Will Provide.” That experience deepened her heart for the nations and confirmed the missions calling God had placed on her life.
Over the years that followed, God continued to shape the vision through ministry, international service, and opportunities to serve. In 2020, that calling took organizational form with the establishment of Suddenly Joyful Global Missions.
Today, we continue that calling—serving individuals, families, and communities with love, hope, and joy, and demonstrating the love of Jesus Christ through advocacy, training, partnerships, and compassionate service.
